I liked the location. And the staff ALL were wonderful. In particular our Kurdish waiter Ms Hadia. She went out of her way to accommodate us. My son and I were given an upgrade on check in and the room was a surprise. More like a one bedroom apartment. The restaurant served very good food, although limited in choices for lunch and dinner. I liked the soap they have in the room, herbal garden, they were offered for sale so I bought a couple.

The location is very premium…. We got an upgrad immediately to a big suite with amazing view…. The staff is the most welcoming staff ever, they always tended to our needs and helped with everything, specially Ms. Kaltrina and Mr. Felix …. They are very pationate and caring

The hotel is beautiful! The rooms are very spacious as well. The restaurant at the hotel was so charming and the good was good as well. The entire staff was very hospitable - always proactive in how they could help. There were too many to name everyone but special thanks to Michael - he went above and beyond and seemed to wear many many hats and always provided outstanding service. Thank you to Xitlali and Felix as well for also making sure we were well taken care of.

We haven't ever stayed in such a large luxurious room! 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a dining area, and large hallway when you walk in the room. The staff was so genuine and friendly with a Swiss chocolate treat daily! Ivan, Amber, Felix, Angela, Shelly, & Michael were the sweetest staff I've ever experienced in 30 years of travel! Zurich and Wengen Switzerland are just another level of beauty! We won't look at other hotels if we go back. Our room must have been 1,000 sf like an apartment with full hotel service! Old world beauty with modern conveniences! This hotel was centrally located with a very short walk to the train station. Bring a rain slicker itrains daily but not for long. Super green and lush in Switzerland and the mountains are amazing! Very important the bed was so comfortable we slept like angels!

We visited Zurich for the 2025 Women’s EURO and stayed at this hotel twice during our trip. The second stay was a last-minute decision, simply because our first experience here was so great that we knew we wanted to come back. Special thanks to Huth, Michal, Felix and Xiatlali. They were all incredibly warm, caring, friendly, and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. The rooms are very comfortable and well-designed, especially the suite and the top-floor room with a balcony — both offered a relaxing and cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is not large, which adds to its charm and gives us a home feeling.

I had the most wonderful stay at the Alden Hotel — a true hidden gem that blends charm, comfort, and exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. What truly made my experience unforgettable, however, were two incredible members of staff: Amber and a young man from Ukraine (I regret not catching his name). Amber was absolutely fantastic — warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. She went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. Her positive energy and willingness to help never went unnoticed. Equally memorable was the young Ukrainian gentleman. He was exceptionally kind and courteous, always with a sincere smile and a readiness to assist. Whether it was helping with luggage, offering local recommendations, or just a friendly chat, he truly embodied what hospitality should be. It’s rare to come across such genuine and lovely people in one place. Their warmth made the hotel feel more like a home. I will absolutely return — and I’ll be recommending Alden Hotel to friends and family without hesitation. Thank you, Amber and the young Ukrainian gentleman — you made this trip truly special!

Specious rooms, location, staff were amazing, layout of the suite was extremely convenient for families, staff are very friendly and helpful from reception to housekeeping, especially the new gentlemen’s at the reception, Yousef, Hadiya and the beautiful housekeeping ladies

The room was very comfortable, nicely furnished, and very spacious. The staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. There are several small lounges beautifully furnished where you can relax. The restaurant food was lovely although we waited some time for our food to arrive however, the staff were very apologetic. Although the hotel is only a 15-minute walk to the centre of Zurich, it was very quiet.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Alden Hotel, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The staff members were exceptionally warm and friendly, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I would like to particularly mention Hadia from the restaurant, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, and I truly enjoyed starting my day with such a great meal. The room I stayed in was very quiet, allowing for a peaceful night’s sleep, and the hotel’s location made it easy to get around. I absolutely loved my time at the hotel and would happily give it a five-star rating.
